Rijnhaven is an inner harbor that was originally an industrial area but has since been transformed into a middle- and upper-class residential district featuring cafés, restaurants, and theaters. Ongoing developments include the creation of a city beach and a park. The aim of this report was to analyze the current situation and to provide project management with recommendations on how to enhance the area’s sonic environment, particularly given the need to accommodate multiple urban functions within a relatively small area of land.
