Dr. Jordan Lacey

  • Jordan Lacey is a senior lecturer in creative design practices and a sound studies scholar at RMIT University’s School of Design in Melbourne, Australia. He is associate editor of the Journal of Sonic Studies where he provides editing, review and book review services. He is author of three monographs for Bloomsbury Academic including Sonic Rupture: a practice-led approach to urban soundscape design (2016), Urban Roar: a psychophysical approach to the design of affective environments (2022) and the forthcoming Ritualizing Sound: towards a psychotherapeutical materialism (forthcoming; 2026). He performs experimental sound art with the Sonic Crucible and postpunk and artrock with Remit. He is creator of various environmental sound art installations and journal articles, which are catalogued at jordan-lacey.com
